The Training Course on “Introduction to Error Sources in Surveys and Methods for Calculation and Control of Non-response and Measurement Errors “ was held by Dr Lida Kalhori, Faculty Member of the Statistical Research and Training Centre and Mr. Mohammad Reza Reyhani, Expert of Statistical Methodology and Sampling Surveys Office of the Statistical Centre of Iran during 19-20 November 2017. The Course dealt with types of statistical errors, sources of measurement errors, calculation methods for measurement errors, introduction of the model with hidden variable and Obvious Markov Model, estimating non-response bias in Labour Force Survey, and approaches for its reduction by changing weighting.
