The Training Course on “an Introduction to the Foundations of Sample Surveys” was held by Ms Marjan Nurini and Ms. Maryam Zanganeh and Messrs. Mohammad Bordbar and Ali Rahimi, Experts of the Statistical Methodology and Sampling Surveys Office of the Statistical Centre of Iran (SCI) from 7-8 January 2018. This Course provided participants with the understanding of the thematic surveys of the SCI in the areas of agriculture, manufacturing, establishment and household. Moreover, some issues on sampling methods and quality assessment of the survey results, training, implementation, extraction and supervision of the SCI’s surveys were addressed.
