An organization's statistics system is, in general, a set of policy-making, professional and operational sections and units of the organization and internal and external relations between them, which produces and disseminates statistics in accordance with the rules and instructions in certain procedures, and interaction with each other in an integrated and organized manner. With respect to the necessity of adaptation of this system with the National Statistical System, the role and position of the organization's statistical system should be clearly defined within the National Statistical System. In fact, the organization's statistics system is to manage the flow of data within that organization in order to produce and disseminate accurate statistics. Therefore, in order to access integrate, accurate and timely statistics, it is necessary to establish a comprehensive system of statistics in an organization in order that it can provide the managers and planners with the integrate, accurate and timely information. The Iranian Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs also needs to establish a comprehensive statistical system to perform its organizational missions in an efficient and effective manner.
Therefore, with respect to the felt need, the Research Project "Designing the Statistical System of the Iranian Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs” was put on the agenda of the directors and officials of the Organization for the development and establishment of such a system in the form of a joint research project with the Statistical Research and Training Centre at the beginning of the year 2017. The Project started officially as of April of the year 2017, and was conducted in three -main - step framework “Identification and analysis of the status quo", "provision of an appropriate plan" and "Designing and presentation of the planner” within one year ".
This Research was carried out in the Research Group for Data Processing and Information Dissemination of the Statistical Research and Training Centre by Dr. Kaveh Kiani as the project's implementor and Dr. Ashkan Shabak, Dr. Nader Hakipipour, Mr. Vadud Keramati and Dr. Abbas Moradi as contributors to the project.
